In the field — not just in the reporting room
linkedin.com/in/drmuktamahajanAlongside her own patients, Dr. Mukta Mahajan trains the next generation of breast radiologists, teaches at national workshops, sits on tumour boards and keeps learning with the world's leading breast-intervention teams. Everything here is from her own LinkedIn activity or from posts by the people and institutions she worked with — each item names its source.

Learning with the world's breast cryoablation teams
An international breast cryoablation meeting at Careggi University Hospital: three live liquid-nitrogen cases, with faculty from Italy, Spain, France and the USA. She brought that experience home to patients in Chennai.
Why she does this
“My motivation is to avoid delayed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. If you have breast cancer, you must be on the care pathway at the earliest — no time wasted before treatment starts.”
“I want to shrink the time a woman spends getting a diagnosis. The way to do that is to raise the quality of breast imaging, across India and wherever else we can reach.”
“Breast cancer is a very treatable tumour, and still our women are dying from it. That is what I feel strongly about.”
“No woman should have to go through three or four scans before she gets a good one.”
“We have to raise the bar of basic knowledge in breast imaging everywhere — and raise the bar of what is achievable at a tertiary centre. That is why I teach.”
